Dear Professor Lessig,
It is twelve days until the primary election day in AL06 on June 3rd.
I have done all I can for three months to press my issue in my Congressional campaign in AL06.
I basically have not been able to get any response from the other candidates, from Senators Sessions and Shelby, from Representative Bachus, or from any of the local political editors and commentators.
This state of affairs is indicated in my May 19th campaign blog entry Framing the question.
Failing to get an addressing of the matter in the Alabama 6th Congressional district, I wish to appeal for consideration from without the district, with a view to communication back into the district.
You are my main contact outside the 6th Congressional district, and that is why I am addressing this email to you.
I have also had contact or attempted contact with No Labels, The Weekly Standard, the National Journal, Robert Reich (via twitter) and Laura Ingraham, and I am copying them (or the contact I have for them and except for Robert Reich) on this email.
All the other recipients on this email are the other candidates, my local media list, and local forum sponsors.
I solicit you, and No Labels, The Weekly Standard, the National Journal, Robert Reich and Laura Ingraham, to publicize information about my candidacy, about the issue I am raising in my candidacy, and about your and their evaluation of the same, all in such form and format as you and they are willing to do.
I would like then to take whatever you and they publicize, and make communication of the same to voters in the Alabama 6th Congressional district.
I, of course, desire to do this before June 3rd.
Thank you and the others whom I have solicited for whatever you and they are able to provide me.
Kindly acknowledge receipt of this email by return email.
Sincerely,
Rob Shattuck
