Subject: Dr. Stewart Tankersley says AL med students and residents need scientific method remedial training
Dear Deans Agarwal, Brooks, Geisler, Goepfert, Hoesley, and Leon:
In an article 10 things lawmakers can do post-COVID to improve the lives and safety of Alabamians, Dr. Stewart Tankersley lists as the first thing that "Medical students and residents in Alabama should be required to undergo remedial training in the scientific method."
I am an Alabamian who would like to know what qualified professors and doctors at the UAB School of Medicine think about what Dr. Tankersley says in his article. Does the School of Medicine think a rebuttal to the article should be written and published?
I am delving into this at https://al6thcongdist-ihaveuntiljan13.blogspot.com/2023/01/dr-stewart-tankersley.html.
Thank you for your attention to this email.
Sincerely,
Rob Shattuck
